Rakesh Hosamani is a talented alumnus of Mindscreen Film Institute, beginning his filmmaking career as a cinematographer and editor in 2016. With a deep passion for cinema, he believes that the narrative should guide the cinematography style.

He has co-written screenplays for both feature films and short narratives, showcasing his versatility. His experience spans multiple production houses, including NJM Productions, where he managed cinematography, editing, and complete productions for global clients like Liverpool FC, Airbus, and AstraZeneca.

After gaining diverse experience, Rakesh decided to specialize in cinematography as a freelancer. He has collaborated with well-known brands such as Blissclub, Tap Academy, Amazon, and Siply, shooting various projects including ads, brand films, corporate videos, and documentaries.

His most recent work, the Telugu feature film Breathe, was released in December 2023. Rakesh is currently based in Bengaluru, India.
